Opera is distributed by Sidewalk Distribution, a skateboarder-run company that also produces Jacuzzi Unlimited and Slappy Trucks , among others.

At Opera, Weiss is continuing what he started at Madness: skateboard decks with innovative graphics, paired with the latest technologies, board construction and a mega team consisting of Clay Kreiner, Jack Fardell, Trey Wood, Sam Beckett, Alex Perelson, Jedd McKenzie, Nick Papa and Jeff Rasp.

The decks are all pressed using the single press process to guarantee the same concave for each board. A specially developed epoxy adhesive is used here, which ensures a light, stiff and responsive deck.

In addition to split wood veneers, specially developed staining processes and other visual features that make Opera decks special, some models are also equipped with technical features that improve the performance of the deck:

Wheel Wells:

Wheel wells are recesses under the position of the axles, which increase the distance between the deck and the wheels and thus allow the board to travel a tighter radius without the wheels touching the deck. This prevents wheel bite and allows you to ride slightly larger wheels or adjust the axles a little looser.

Pop Slick:

Pop Slick is a plastic layer on the underside of the deck that reduces friction when sliding compared to wood. The result is easier, smoother and longer sliding during slide tricks. After more and more brands started producing slick decks again in recent years, Opera has taken the technology to the next level. With Pop Slick Decks, the plastic layer is not applied over the entire underside like with other decks, but is incorporated into the structure of the board at the relevant points, such as the nose and tail.
